A whole studio in a single mic!

Antelope modelling microphone

The Antelope Edge Go combines the practicalities of a USB-powered interface with the acoustic qualities and versatility of professional-grade, large-diaphragm condenser microphones - and more. Rarely has this level of recording been achieved amongst digital microphones: The mic itself and its AD/DA converters are all top-notch and the microphone emulations, powered by the on-board dedicated DSP, are impressively authentic. Users can choose from a whopping 18 different studio-classic and world-renowned microphones, each expertly crafted to achieve the highest degree of realism. The Edge Go also ships with a generous hardware package, which includes a desktop mic stand, a shock mount, a pop filter, a flight case, and a USB cable. And if a locker full of microphones wasn’t enough, Antelope have also included a generous collection of high-quality Synergy Core outboard effects, all of which operate in real time with zero CPU load thanks to the built-in FPGA Real-Time Modeling hardware.

From Edge Duo to Edge Go

The Antelope Edge Go is fitted with the same 34mm dual-diaphragm capsule found on the highly respected Edge Duo. The 6-micron, gold-sputtered diaphragms are extremely sensitive and capture even the most subtle details of a voice or an instrument. Of course, the Edge can switch polar pattern between omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-of-eight – and everything else in between. The Edge’s dual-diaphragm design also plays an important part on the emulation side, notably with regard to the polarity, axis response, and proximity effect of each emulated microphone. This makes the Edge Go a versatile partner for capturing high-quality audio content, whether in the studio or on the road.

Antelope Audio Synergy Core

Extremely easy to operate

As far as USB modelling microphones are concerned, the Antelope Edge Go outperforms most of its competition, offering high-end conversion as well as on-board DSP processing via its FPGA chip. The software control panel is extremely intuitive and easy to operate in any situation. General microphone settings, loading of effects and microphone emulations, and all the associated parameters are accessed via the software control panel, which consists of a single all-in-one window – it couldn't be simpler or more intuitive! Whether for musicians, vocalists, streamers, or podcasters, the Edge Go combines the highest sound quality with an efficient workflow.

About Antelope Audio

Antelope Audio is a manufacturer of professional audio equipment that was founded by developer Igor Levin, who invented the famous AardSync clock generator with which his then-company Aardvark made waves in the world of audio engineering at the end of the 20th century. In 2005, Igor Levin went – as he himself put it – back to his roots and continued to develop the AardSync concept. The result of this development work was the “Oven Clock”, a word clock generator that is kept at a constant temperature of 64.5°C to provide increased stability and improve jitter performance. The newly founded Antelope Audio caused a similar splash in 2005 with its OCX Clock Generator. Today, Antelope Audio, which is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality audio interfaces and AD/DA converters and includes big names such as Rihanna, Jay-Z, and the Wu-Tang Clan among its users.

Live streaming and much more

The Edge Go is much more than a USB-powered, high-resolution large-diaphragm condenser microphone, it is also a fully-fledged recording and monitoring interface. The Synergy Core effects, powered by Antelope’s own FPGA circuit, allow real-time DSP calculations. A zero-latency headphone output, which allows direct monitoring of the mic’s output, is also included, effectively transforming the Go into a sleek and portable recording studio. Users will not only have a wide selection of different microphone classics at their fingertips, but an impressive collection of emulated outboard gear as well. Vintage preamps, EQs, compressors and reverbs are all included, to ensure broadcast-quality sound even while live-streaming.
